Meet Azel, a handmade camel crafted by the nomadic women of the Sahara Desert in Morocco. As shared in our video, these incredible women create each camel from materials they gather while traveling across the vast desert, bits of wool, fabric, fibers, and small treasures blown across the dunes. Every camel is entirely unique, infused with the personality, creativity, and resourcefulness of the woman who made it.

Azel carries an Amazigh name meaning “pure” and “noble,” a perfect match for his striking white wool body and bold black markings. His colorful tuft is a joyful burst of rainbow fibers, and his braided lead tassel features rich autumn hues. The deep red woven line down his back adds a grounding detail that contrasts beautifully with his zebra patterned legs and neck. These camels are more than décor, they are symbols of resilience, artistry, and the beauty of reimagining found materials into something joyful and full of life.
